Ex-Arsenal Scout Visits Verulam!

It was an absolute pleasure to welcome ex Arsenal Scout Brian Stapleton into school to speak with our Sports Academy students and Year 7 footballers.

Brian delivered a powerful and honest assembly about the importance of having the right attitude, working hard in school, and understanding that becoming a successful sportsperson is never plain sailing. He also shared his journey — not only his experiences as a football scout, but how his life has come full circle after overcoming challenges including alcohol addiction, football hooliganism, and knife crime in his early years.
